• In the Hungarian Balaton Highland, vinification has traditions that can be traced back to the Roman era. Our vineyards are situated in one of the volcanic witness mountains at the gate of the Kál Basin. As part of the Badacsony Wine Region, this area is the most beautiful and precious natural resource of Lake Balaton, also rich in volcanic wines.
Dr. Tamás Büttner bought his first vineyard in 2005 on the Tóti Hill, a gem in the Badacsony Wine Region. Subsequently, thanks to his passion for winemaking and continuous strive for perfection, and improvement the Büttner Winery was established in cooperation with Dr. András Bálint in 2015.
The winery now has more than 15 hectares of vineyard in the region. Equipped with modern viticulture technology, Büttner Winery not only has a unique characteristic but also has an efficient winemaking process.
