Bononia Estate Winery & Resort is a luxury boutique complex, which lays on the bank of the Danube river in Koshava village, Vidin region. It is located 250 km away from Sofia and 15 km from Vidin and the “Vidin – Calafat” bridge above the river, which provides quick and easy access from and to Romania. The hotel building is surrounded by some of the most fertile and suitable for vineyards growing lands in Bulgaria. It was open in 2022 over a renovated wine cellar from 1895, this way preserving the spirit and the history of 3 centuries – 19th, 20th and 21st. The hotel, together with the cellar and the 1600 decare vineyards form the whole complex “Bononia Estate Winery & Resort”, whose aim is to establish itself as one of the best wine destinations in Eastern Europe. The hotel was nominated as “Building of the Year” and meanwhile it has won the “Best hotel with a wine cellar“ and „Best restaurant with signature cuisine” prizes.

With us you can choose and book different wine tasting packages, which take place in our special oenotheque overlooking our most beautiful barrel room. Bononia Estate Winery & Resort has an outdoor infinity pool and an indoor spa area with classic sauna, steam bath, herbal sauna, massages and more, the equipment attached to these is extremely modern and professional and comes from Estonia. Some of the activities we offer to our guests on the spot are bike rides, VESPA, UTV among the vineyards, motor yacht and boat on the Danube river.
