Winery Description:

Vasari Vini, located in the picturesque region of Sicily, Italy, is a name steeped in history, art, and tradition. With over 400 years of experience in viticulture, the Vasari family has been cultivating vines on the hills overlooking the Mela River Valley in Santa Lucia del Mela and Merì, in the Province of Messina. This legacy has firmly rooted the family in the heart of Sicilian culture, where farming and winemaking have been passed down through generations.

The Vasari family is renowned for producing premium DOC organic wines, such as the Mamertino. This wine is one of the oldest and most historically significant varieties, with records of its production dating back to 289 BC. Mamertino was even favored by Emperor Julius Caesar, who drank it during Roman times. By rediscovering this ancient wine 40 years ago, Vasari Vini became the first winery to reintroduce Mamertino to the modern world, allowing wine lovers to savor a taste of history with every sip.

Alongside their wines, Vasari Vini also produces superior quality cold-pressed olive oil, contributing to their reputation as dedicated artisans of the land. Their commitment to organic farming ensures that every bottle represents not only the rich history of Sicily but also the skill, passion, and experience of the Vasari family.
