This half day tour experience is designed to showcase the beauty of Barcelona’s countryside and the ancient wine region of Pla del Bages in a warm, welcoming, and personal format. In line with our commitment to sustainable tourism and the revival of ancient grape varieties, such as the long-forgotten Red Picapoll, which had been neglected for decades, you’ll enjoy an eco-friendly wine tasting experience featuring organic wines that honor the region’s rich heritage paired with local tapas.

Your journey begins at Barcelona Nord Bus Station, where you’ll meet your enthusiastic local guide. Together with your group, you’ll set off to explore the Montserrat Monastery, a site of spiritual significance and natural beauty. This magical mountain has also played a vital role in shaping the landscape and climate of the surrounding Pla del Bages wine region (one of the oldest in Catalonia). Next, step into history as you visit a traditional family-owned estate. Nestled in the heart of Pla del Bages, with Montserrat as its stunning backdrop, this ancient estate reflects centuries of winemaking traditions passed down through 36 generations. Learn about the rich history of the Oller family as you taste three organic wines made from the region's flagship grape variety: the Red Picapoll. Their excellence is recognized with awards like the 2023 Vinari for Best Wine Tourism Accommodation. Please note that tour departure starts at 8:45 h and a return time of 15:30/15:45 h.

Arrive at least 20 minutes before the tour departure to complete check-in and proceed to the buses on the ground floor.

Stop 2 (Montserrat Monastery)

Description: This mountain is a symbol of Catalonia, blending breathtaking natural beauty with rich history and tradition.

Stop 3 (Winery Oller del Mas)

Description: Please note: Due to logistical reasons, another equally charming and traditional winery may be visited instead of Oller del Mas.

Good to know before you book: Departure starts at 8:45 h and a return time of 15:30/15:45 h. From Janurary 7th to February 28th, the tour departs at 9:45 h and returns at 17 h. Meet strictly 20 minutes before the departure time.

Cancellation policy: Cancellation is free if requested up to 24 hours before tour departure. Please note that under no circumstances tours cancelled after scheduled departure time will be eligible for a refund. If requested up to 12 hours before tour departure, you may reschedule your booking to a different date free of charge subject to availability.
