Tenuta Carobbio is a winery located in Panzano's Golden Valley, between Siena and Florence. The estate has a rich history dating back to the 15th century when it was owned by the Magaldi family. In 1985, Carlo Novarese purchased the property and initiated a comprehensive restoration, transforming it into a modern winery while preserving its historical charm. The vineyards are situated in an excellent location, surrounded by hills with soils like Alberese and Galestro, which contribute to the production of aromatic and elegant wines. The winery combines traditional techniques with innovative farming methods to cultivate high-quality grapes, focusing on local varietals such as Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are crafted through manual harvesting and aged in Slavonian oak barrels, reflecting the distinct terroir of Chianti. Today, the Novarese family continues to expand and enhance the estate's wine production, creating renowned wines like Chianti Classico and Super Tuscans.
