Steve and Linda Goldfarb never planned to become winemakers. In 1997, they discovered six rows of Cabernet Sauvignon growing in their backyard and made their first wine in the garage — with no training, no experience, and no idea what they were starting. Their first commercial release in 2000 was 300 cases. It sold out immediately.
Today, Anomaly Vineyards is a beautiful stone winery at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains in St. Helena, built with the collective wisdom of 30 Napa Valley neighbors who shared their secrets freely. The focus remains singular: one wine, one vineyard, 100% estate-grown organic Cabernet Sauvignon. Private tastings are offered Monday through Saturday by appointment, hosted with the same warmth and curiosity that started it all.
