Winery Description:

Sanlorenzo winery, located in the heart of Tuscany’s Montalcino region, is a testament to both the rich winemaking traditions of the area and the innovative spirit of the Ferretti-Ciolfi family. It began in the late 19th century when Lorenzo Ferretti settled in the hills southwest of Montalcino, establishing a farm named Rogarelli. Over the decades, the family expanded, and in 1950 they acquired additional land, which they named Sanlorenzo in honor of their grandfather. In 1972, Fiorella married Paolo Ciolfi, which brought new energy to the estate. The winery officially began operations in 2000, with the first wines produced in 2003. Today, Sanlorenzo is known for producing high-quality wines that reflect the heritage and authenticity of Montalcino. The winery combines traditional methods with modern technology to create wines that stand out for their character, elegance, and respect for the land.
