Winery Description:

Madre de Água Fram is a project that began in 2007 when its owners decided to return to their origins and develop a sustainable concept that prioritizes respect for Man, his arts and traditions, while preserving nature. This project is built on 4 farms in the region of Gouveia, Serra da Estrela, with around 40 hectares and includes a 4* Charming Rural Hotel with 10 rooms and 2 T0 and T2 Villas. Customers are welcomed in a refined family atmosphere. Our fruit is used to make jams and the olive trees produce our delicious virgin olive oil. Today we have 120 Bordeaux sheep, an indigenous breed. A Stud Farm, committed to the Lusitano breed and dedicated to teaching and the art of Dressage. With 14 hectares of vineyards that in recent years have been awarded prizes as the best vineyards in the Dão, planted at an altitude of 600m and with a microclimate that influences the excellence in the quality of our nectars.
