Castello del Trebbio is a historic estate in the heart of Tuscany, specifically in the Chianti Rufina region. Originally built in 1184 by the Pazzi family, it became infamous for its role in the Pazzi conspiracy against the Medici. In 1968, the Baj Macario family purchased the estate and transformed it into a thriving winery and agritourism destination. The estate is managed by Anna Baj Macario and Stefano Casadei, who have implemented the Biointegrale® method of agriculture, emphasizing sustainability and biodiversity. Castello del Trebbio produces a range of wines, including Chianti Rufina DOCG, using traditional techniques combined with innovative methods like terracotta amphorae aging.
