Winery Description:

Founded in 1890 by the Artacho family and Rafael Carreras, Bodegas Riojanas is a testament to the region's rich winemaking heritage. The winery's entrance is marked by a historic stone door from 1799, a symbol of the family's enduring legacy. In 2005, the winery underwent a transformative renovation, blending centuries-old techniques with cutting-edge machinery and technology. This fusion of tradition and innovation is reflected in the expertise of their staff, who craft exceptional wines that delight the senses. Bodegas Riojanas proudly owns nearly 100 hectares of vineyards in prime locations such as San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Cenicero. The unique clay-limestone soils and microclimate create an ideal environment for cultivating Tempranillo, Mazuelo, and Graciano grapes, which are meticulously handpicked and processed into award-winning red, white, and dessert wines.
