Bodegas Menade

Highlights:

• Bodegas Menade was founded in 2005 by the Sanz brothers, but the family history really began in 1820, when the ancestors of the Sanz brothers cultivated vines in the area.

• The original wines were made in ‘Menade by Secala,’ an underground cellar in La Seca.

• The family integrates traditional methods with modern eco-friendly practices, producing certified organic wines that reflect their respect for nature and terroir.

Winery Description:

Bodegas Menade traces its roots back to 1820 when the Sanz family began cultivating vineyards in what is now DO Rueda. The sixth generation—Alejandra, Marco, and Richard—founded the winery in 2005 to honor their heritage while embracing innovation.

Their wines are crafted using natural techniques, including plant-based infusions and biodiversity-focused farming.

The historic "Menade by Secala" cellar embodies their deep connection to tradition.

Today, Bodegas Menade is celebrated for its organic Verdejo wines that combine history, sustainability, and exceptional quality.

Visitors can explore the historic cellar, enjoy wine tastings, and experience the unique biodiversity of the vineyards, which include pollination gardens and insect hotels.
