Italy, Apulia, Antica Masseria Jorche - Pearls of Manduria
• Welcome Aperitif: Start with a tasting of first wine, paired with homemade friselle topped with fresh cherry tomatoes and Jorche’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil for an authentic Puglian welcome.
• Guided Winery Tour: Explore the estate, including a visit to the atmospheric underground barrique cellar, where you’ll taste Primitivo wine drawn directly from the barrel.
• Comparative Tasting: In the barrique cellar you will taste the same Primitivo wine, bottled, all accompanied by local Pecorino cheese.
• Finale Tasting: Conclude with a wine tasting, perfectly paired with “pezzi duri”—traditional pastries from Puglia.
The “Pearls of Manduria” tour at Antica Masseria Jorche offers an immersive journey into the heart of Puglia’s winemaking tradition.
Your experience begins with a warm welcome: a glass of "Sosò" Bianco D’Alessano IGP Salento, paired with homemade friselle, fresh cherry tomatoes, and the estate’s own extra virgin olive oil—a delicious introduction to local flavors.
You’ll then embark on a guided visit of the winery, including the underground barrique cellar. Here, you’ll taste Primitivo wine straight from the barrel. You'll also savor the same wine, bottled Primitivo di Manduria DOP, paired with local Pecorino cheese, allowing you to appreciate the transformation from barrique to bottle.
To finish, indulge in the estate’s Primitivo di Manduria DOCG Dolce Naturale, accompanied by “pezzi duri,” classic almond pastries from the region—an authentic sweet ending to your visit.
